I love lamps too. Am in need of a special one for new living room. Would love earthy, warm, rustic, organic look all wrapped up in one! Can you suggest more websites for lamp hunting?
Thanks,
Lamplover too

Home Portfolio (www.homeportfolio.com) carries a large selection of lighting and is worth checking out. A lamp artist whose work I particularly love is Christina Spann (www.lightspann.com). And it’s aways worthwile checking out eBay to see what antiques are out there and available. Happy hunting!

Hi!
I am so happy to read about others who enjoy lamps as much as I do. What I see on the Guild site is inspiring to me as a new lamp designer. I appreciated the Home Portfolio site suggestion.
My bases are stones from the shores of the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia, Canada. They are the inspiration for the shades I design which incorporate plants, twigs, seaweed, wasp nest paper, etc. that I have collected where I live. If you are interested in one-of-a-kind pieces, that is all I do. Each is completely different, signed and numbered.
Making lamps is a wonderfully satisfying process. The icing on the cake is when people drop by my studio or my booth at shows and make the connection with what I’ve made and understand it as functional art, regardless of whether or not they purchase one.
Cheers! Anna

It is encouraging to read about other people’s love for original ideas in lighting. I have been playing with light and rawhide(mostly rawhide) for 15 years and hopefully for many to come. To all the light artists out there: I would love to see your work. Please send me your website names. Let’s inspire each other to more beautiful lights. I love beautiful lamps, too, because they’re still beautiful when the sun’s shining. One of Steve Bewley’s creations lights up a corner of my great room all day and night. It’s so wonderful to even touch.
