Confessions of a Dog Lover
Wednesday, December 17th, 2008A guest post from Artful Home CEO Lisa Bayne
It is rather gloomy in Wisconsin today – grey, cold, and snowy. So I was on the way toward feeling gloomy myself when I got to the office and was greeted by the one and only Oscar Lipstick – a black and white Heinz 57-type dog (named by a small child) who spends many of his days here at the Artful Home office. Oscar’s indomitable dog spirit instantly lifted my gloomy human spirit.
The same thing happened when I was walking though the SOFA show in Chicago last month, and came across a showing of the work of Mark Chatterley, including his Blue Dog, a wonderful, soulful ceramic piece that sits ever so obediently and patiently. Like Oscar.
And now we have just added these new whimsical prints by Vancouver, WA artist Jill Mayberg to our print collection.
The smile returns again. And it’s bound to be a great day afterall.
