About Susan

Susan Gardels, Artful Home’s Online Merchandiser and Events Coordinator, is a visual artist and writer. She spent 25 years working as an artist-in-residence with schools and communities across the USA and in Malawi, Africa. She has received numerous local, state, and national grants for her collaborative work with communities. In her personal work, Susan has created four limited edition collections of her own writings as well as hundreds of installations combining words, performance, sculpture, and visual books.
