style spotlight: new neutrals with dayle of @artfulcitystyle

Sometimes, you are lucky enough to find a dress that is both unique and versatile. That’s what I love about this fabulous piece by Spirithouse: it has interesting lines, it’s totally flattering, and it has endless styling possibilities.

Although I’m always a big fan of color, as a New Yorker I have my share of black in my closet. It’s my idea of a great neutral! The Slingshot Dress is even more interesting because, though it may look solid black from a distance, it is really a mix of two pinstriped patterns—one large, one small—that are used in a clever way to enhance the design of the dress.

As with all great neutrals, this dress can be accessorized to create several very different looks. Here I have paired it with pearls for a dressier look.

Here a statement red necklace gives it a pop of color.

And finally, I’ve paired it with a mixed-pattern scarf that works well with the dress’s subtle blend of pinstripes.

While I love this piece’s versatility, the shape of it is one of my favorite things. I love that it makes a statement with its architectural silhouette, but it’s slimming at the same time.

Get Judith Boyd, the Stylecrone to model for you, another iconic “silver” woman…but from Colorado with delightful style and “wide open smile”.

Where did you buy the black and white pearl necklace in the first photo with the Slingshot back dress? I love it.
